  • Bible verse when worried:Peace for today-Matthew 6:34

    One Day at a Time

”Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34 (NIV)

Worry, more times than not, is just us trying to live tomorrow’s problems on today’s strength. God gives us enough strength (daily bread) for today. This verse is Jesus inviting us to be present NOW. And we are trusting that the same God who provides for us today will be there when tomorrow arrives. When we pray and ask Him for our daily bread, we get the strength, endurance, and grace that it will take to get us through that day. That’s all we need. Tomorrow’s daily bread will come tomorrow. Stop trying to borrow from tomorrow’s problems, stresses, and resources…they will come.
